My first Poppy of the season. They are really showing up on the West side of the Valley. I think this will be quite a year for wildflowers and I’m looking forward to the next few months.

There are many old farm buildings and equipment in the town of Young, AZ. This lovely church sits on property with probably what was a farm in the past. New and old buildings and old equipment, plus that lovely wind mill.

I road horses most of my life, owned many, bred Appaloosas, and loved riding the desert. So while I usually post nature photographs, I will be adding ranch activity from time to time.
