Monthly Archives: May 2023
I don’t know what these flowers are, but in a forest in Northern Arizona, they grew low on the forest floor. They caught my eye and I knew I wanted to remember them.
Common Mergansers – River in Yellowstone National Park. Month of May, several years ago.
Memorial Day – In memory of all those who served.
Always checking the environment. Burrowing Owl in agriculture field in Buckeye
Pink and Lilac – Warm colors that symbolize spring and renewal
This Green Heron obviously wasn’t happy with all the various herons around taking the best places for fishing, on a waterfall in Arrowhead area.
Good morning, on a beautiful Saturday.
Black-crowned Night-Herons, having a discussion at Arrowhead Lakes today. I think one said to the other, “Listen you, this is my fishing spot so move on.”
They’d do some scuffling and “arguing,” and then get back together. Now there were plenty of fish, and many other places to stand on the waterfall, but they preferred to try to be in the same spot.
