Of all my butterfly photos over the years, this is my favorite. My husband and I were hiking on a trail at the Mogollon Rim. This butterfly landed on his hat, and stayed with us for over an hour. It was so much fun to observe this, and then it gently flew off as we returned to the trailhead. Wonderful memories.

A nice day at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix with a friend, where we found butterflies both in the exhibit and out in the garden.

Butterfly Wonderland. Not sure what these two were doing but they played around a lot and the interaction was interesting to watch. These blue butterflies are one of my favorites.

I have never tried to learn the names of the many butterflies. This one is not native I know, but I enjoy watching and photographing them, usually in the wild but also at Butterfly Wonderland.
