Wall Arch in Arches National Park in Utah. This was shot in 2006, and a favorite arch for my husband and me. Every time we went to the park we made sure we walked to Wall Arch. To our surprise, we learned that it collapsed in 2008

A Squirrel checks its surroundings, as it stores nuts in the tree snag.
This little mammal was busy, going back and forth to this snag, bringing nuts and what appeared to be other food, and storing it in holes and crevices.
Captive Lion – I wish they could all be in the wild, but I do think that many species are being saved because of rescue sanctuaries and many zoos.
