Buildings often used as movie sets stand under a dramatic sky in Mescal, southeast of Tucson

Late yesterday afternoon on Lake Pleasant Parkway there were about a dozen balloons lifting off. It made me think of my one balloon ride, years ago, over the Australian Outback. Of course, this was Arizona and there were no big Kangaroos hopping along down below as in Australia, but ballons fun to watch and capture and a reminder of a wonderful day, years ago.

As we walked through a butterfly conservation park, we crossed this lovely little bridge, that led us to more beautiful scenes.

Memories of Holland.

Winslow AZ – The lovely 911 memorial with burned columns from that day, sunflowers everywhere, and watching trains go by at the Turquoise Room in the La Posada restaurant. An enjoyable place to visit.

After all these years living in Arizona, I finally made it to Winslow to stand on the famous corner.

World Turtle Day. A Galapagos Sea Turtle silently swims by our Zodiac (motor off) in Elizabeth Bay at Isabella Island, Galapagos. A day to remember.

Not the best of photos, but the Australia/New Zealand trip some years ago was the best of my lifetime. And what a thrill to scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef.
