Moose Monday Alaska
Lots of activity at Glendale Ponds. A Great Egret drops down into the main water canal, not often seen. Also not usually seen, a Great Blue Heron runs across a dry basin, ignoring the basins with water. Birds are so fascinating.

Boyce Thompson Arboretum – A rose ready to bloom, one of the last for the season.
Thanks to the editor of the online Arizona Highways Magazine, for selecting my photo of the beautiful color changes in Northern Arizona.
As I walked through the Rose Garden at Boyce Thompson Arboretum, this lovely rose seemed to call to me. After its prime, but still blooming.
A morning at Boyce Thompson Arboretum. The rose was past its prime but still so pretty I decided to take a photo anyway. This neat big bug came down on it and sat, just for me.
Then not far away, we were surrounded by Queen Butterflies. Hundreds of them all flying to this lavender bush. I have never seen so many butterflies in one place.
