When two Black-crowned Night-Herons want to be in the same place for fishing, this is what happens.

Years ago, at Tres Rios Wetlands, several large old trees held many nests of the Great Blue Herons. It was great action, wonderful photography, and something we looked forward every year when babies came. Then it all stopped. I don’t know if it was all the gun shots or what, but I sure miss those days and the big, beautiful birds
They’d do some scuffling and “arguing,” and then get back together. Now there were plenty of fish, and many other places to stand on the waterfall, but they preferred to try to be in the same spot.
